Tom Alena has an extraordinary talent for taking lofty subjects and delivering them with his trademark passion and enthusiasm to adults and children alike. In 2012 he traveled to Iceland as the geologist on Krummi Travel’s first “Rock Around the Ring Road” tour. Tom holds an M.S. in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Nevada – Reno and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. He was the meteorologist at Talcott Mountain Science Center for 22 years and and for 5 years was an adjunct professor at The University of Hartford where he developed and taught a course in “Descriptive Geology”. Tom rocks.
